Basic Guide to Hiring RAs for both Credit and Pay

So each of you stated that you would like to work at the lab for credit so here are the instructions on how to do this. You will need to request a permit for the course and once it is approved you should be able to sign up for the class in OSCAR. If you are applying for this to be a PSYC research credit go to this link: https://forms2.cos.gatech.edu/psych-course-request and there you will select Randall Engle as the professor and permit type as Permit Required. Once it is approved you will register for either PSYC 2699 (if 1st or 2nd years) or PSYC 4699 (3rd and 4th years). If you are applying for this to be a NEUR research credit go to this link: https://forms2.cos.gatech.edu/undergraduate-research-permit and there you type the number of hours of work per week (1 credit hour = 3 hours) and then you will need a Project name and description it will be as follows. Title: A Latent Variable Investigation of Cognitive Ability, Locus Coeruleus, and Functional Connectivity of Brain NetworksDescription: Work on large scale research study looking at individual differences in the cognitive abilities of participants. While also looking at the role of the Locus Coeruleus and other brain brain networks in attention control. Goals are to learn the basics of working on fMRI studies and developing research skills. Then the professor will be Randall Engle (email: [e-mail]). Once again when approved you will wither register for NEUR 2699 (if 1st or 2nd years) or NEUR 4699 (3rd and 4th years).
