Follow these steps for each [task]
The .edf files are on SharePoint
Engle Lab - Documents / Data Collection / [Study Name] / data / pupil / raw / [task] / edf
In order to export them to .txt files we will first need to transfer them to the Lab Backup Hard Drive connected to the left Control Room computer. They need to be transferred to:
E: Lab Backup / [Study Name] / [Task] / edf
Navigate to the raw eye tracker data folder on the Lab Backup Hard Drive
E: Lab Backup / [Study Name] / [Task]
Open the file [task]_eyetracker.evs
In Data Viewer go to File -> Import Data âĻ -> Multiple EyeLink Data Files âĻ
Click on the âĻ button to choose the location of files to import
E: Lab Backup / [Study Name] / [Task] / edf
Double click the âedfâ folder
Click on the Open button
Click on the Select All button and then the Import button
It will ask you if you want to replace already imported data files.
Select the Apply to All option
Select Skip, Donât Import This File button
Export a sample report text file by going to: Analysis -> Reports -> Sample Report âĻ
Check to make sure the following variables are in Selected Variables (be aware that not all of these will be available for rest task):
Select the Create one Report File per EDF File option
A finder winder box will pop up.
In the File name box type: [task]_eyetracker (e.g., 1back_eyetracker)
In Files of type: select Text (Tab-Delimited) (*.txt)
Click Save
The files will be saved in the Output folder
Copy the files to SharePoint at:
Engle Lab - Documents / Data Collection / [Study Name] / data / pupil / raw / [task]
Wait until all data files are imported âĻ
Click on Next and choose OK to save changes and wait...
Wait for it to export the edf files to .txt âĻ
