Required PPE: Gloves, Lab Coat

Prepare the Participant

  • Ask the participant to sit still and comfortably

  • Adjust the Polhemus cube height so the middle of the cube is in line with the participant's inion

Apply the Nasion Sensor

  • Secure the nasion sensor under the EEG net between the participant's eyebrows

  • Keep the sensor as straight as possible

Start the Digitizer

  • In the Brainstorm window, select "File" and then "Digitize"

  • Enter the participant's ID: 19XXX

Collect Anatomical Fiducials Positions

  • Using the stylus with the cap on, hold the tip of the stylus on the participant's nasion and briefly tap the stylus button

    • Keep the stylus perpendicular to the point of interest and in place until the confirmation tone plays

  • Hold the tip of the stylus on the participant's left preauricular point and briefly tap the stylus button

  • Hold the tip of the stylus on the participant's right preauricular point and briefly tap the stylus button

Collect Electrode Positions

  • Using the stylus with the cap off, hold the tip of the stylus on the first electrode and briefly tap the stylus button

    • Keep the stylus perpendicular to the point of interest and in place until the confirmation tone plays

  • Proceed to collect all 66 electrode positions in order

    • Collect the Cz electrode as point #65

    • Collect the COM electrode as point #66

  • Save the participant's data file when finished
